Hermosa Vineyards is a small estate winery located on the outskirts of Palisade, Colorado. We are dedicated to using only the finest fruit grown using sustainable farming practices. All the grapes come from vineyards located in the Grand Valley AVA. Kenn has been growing grapes here since 1994 and enjoys sharing his knowledge for a better vineyard and for a better environment.
Programs include housing and a stipend.
Pruning Season Internship
March 1 – April 15
Responsibilities include all aspects of caring for a vineyard including, pruning, cleanup, irrigation, repairs, and planting.
Cherry Season Internship
May 15 – June 15
Here the responsibilities include all aspects of caring for a vineyard and cherry orchard. This will include, minimal pruning, tying of grape vines, irrigation, repairs, and sweet cherry harvest.
Harvest Season Internship
September 15 – October 31
Responsibilities include all aspects of grape harvest including monitoring grape ripening, harvesting, crushing, pressing, and wine making.
Minimum 40 hours a week with two consecutive days off. There is the possibility for the right candidate to work in the winery and tasting room as well. I am looking for candidates who are interested in grape growing, winemaking and all that it entails. Applicants must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license. No experience necessary. Interested candidates should submit a written essay detailing their qualifications, experience and why they are interested in pursuing an internship at Hermosa Vineyards.
